Fernando’s story:
Fernando is a three toed sloth. He’s a delightful little chap and makes friends easily.
Although he’s a bit of a slow coach, Fernando is an adventurer and loves nothing more than exploring new places.
He especially loves pebble beaches, which is where he found the lucky beach pebble that he wears around his neck.
Fernando got his colour from eating too much moss, which is his favourite food.

Fernando’s details:
Fernando is a one of a kind sloth, artist bear, approximately 9 1/2″ (25 cm) tall when standing.
He is made from green mohair and has white fimo claws.
He is five way jointed, with nut & bolt joints in his arms and legs and a cotter pin neck joint.
Fernando is filled with heavy polyester fibre and has some stainless steel balls in his tummy which gives him a lovely heavy weight.
He has black glass eyes and has a large brown needle felted nose.
Fernando is carefully hand shaded.
He also wears a handmade wire wrapped beach pebble pendant.
Please note:
Brierley Bears are designed with the adult collector in mind, and due to the small parts used in creating them they are not suitable for children under the age of 14.
All bears come with a sewn in tag, their own personalised wooden engraved hang tag and information booklet, signed for authenticity.

– UK postage is included and all bears will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery
– Overseas orders will be sent by courier via Transglobal Express for better tracking of your parcel. All orders will include a commercial invoice, correct HS codes and proper declarations.
If you wish to buy more than one item from me, I will try my best to combine the postage.
As of 29th August 2025 the de Minimis exemption in the USA was cancelled, which means that anything shipped to the United States now incurs custom duties, this is something completely out of my control.
Important shipping information for all countries:
From 30th August 2025 all duties will be included in your postage price, which should be just the new UK standard of 10%.
However, just so that you are aware, HS code 95030041, the code I use for stuffed teddy bears does suggest it carries a 4% duty, but as of 01.09.25 this currently doesn't show when I run a dummy quote through Transglobal Express.
I have added a button to each bears adoption page with a pre-configured email for you to complete so that I can get you an accurate postage price including duties.
Hopefully this will mean that your parcel clears customs and gets to you without any hiccups.
